Innovation that allows to increase productivity, reducing time to clean and improving process safety

Information
In Latam an important brewery company had the following challenges in their clean and disinfection process in their fermentation tanks and BBT’s
- Average time for descale tanks of 3-4 days
- The manual descales wasn´t so effective < 40%
- The 20% of the descale time, the personal was exposed to chemicals at confined spaces.
Solution
Ecolab developed a portable mobile CIP, called Ecolab CleanJet, thinking in the customers’ needs to improve their micro-index, in a more productive and safe way, at their fermentation tanks and BBT’s.
Using this innovation our team achieves to standardize the clean and disinfection process at those tanks, starting with a descale with “Principal” product followed with cleaning and disinfection with Trimeta CD.
Impact
The clean and disinfection process was standardized, improving ther conditions of operational safety and reducing the process time of descaling, with better results that the obtained with the actual process of clean and disinfection.
- Process time release of 12,328 hrs (Productivity)
- 100% descale of tanks, and the time reduction of the process from 72 hrs to 5 hrs
- Operative safety improved from 55% to 0% risk due to the lack of personal inside the tanks to do the process
